Guido van Rooij studied mathematics at the Technical University of Eindhoven. From 1989 till mid 1995, Guido worked as a programmer of several embedded systems. After this period he continued his career at Phillips C&P, till mid 2000, which became Atos Origin later on. There he was responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Phillips corporate firewalls (service coordinator). Later his work got expanded with the task of network security architect. In 2000 Guido founded Madison Gurkha and has been working there ever since as a Principal Security Consultant. He also teaches the Secure Programming course.
