• Special addresses:

  • 0/32: is replaced by the IP address of the specified interface
  • 0/0: the IP address is not changed at all

• "map" maps IP numbers in unpredictable ways. It rewrites source address on outgoing interfaces.

• "bimap" is bidirectional: the mapping is a bijection and works for connecting initiated from both sides of the IP-Filter host. Use "bimap" only with single IP numbers
